גָּרוּש

גָּרוּשm., גְּרוּשָׁה f. (part. pass. of גָּרַש) a divorced spouse. Pes.112a ג׳ שנשא ג׳ a divorced husband who married a divorced wife. Ib. ג׳ בחיי בעלה marrying a divorced wife while her husband is yet alive. Ned.20b גְּרוּשַׁת הלב divorced at heart, one whom her husband is determined to divorce; a. fr.Pl. גְּרוּשִׁים, f. גְּרוּשוֹת. Yalk. Jer. 268 וכי ג׳ אתם לי are ye divorced from me (the Lord)?
